How do you think the wealthy lords and ladies responded to some of the artistic reactions to the Black Death?
This is what I put, but reword it and make it different:
I think the wealthy lords and ladies did not like the responses of artists to the Black Death, seeing as many painters and sculptors simply gave up trying to make beautiful art in a world that was so hellish. The wealthy lords nd ladies either lost their painters and sculptors or they got works of art depicting scenes of Hell, Satan, and the Grim Reaper. That doesn't make good small talk to entertain your guests. I feel like they scrambled to get their hands on past pieces of work and some of the newer ones that weren't as unsettling.
