you should usually distribute first. 4 times x would be 4x, and 4 times -5 is -20.

4(x−5)=−6x−7+2

first step open bracket and add or subtract no.

4x-20=-6x-5

put common in each side

4x+6x=-5+20

10x=15

x=15/10=3/2
