The estimated number of times each would be larger is 10²⁰ and 100,000 times respectively.

1.)

We can rewrite the numbers thus :

  • Numerator =
    6.1 * 10^(7)
  • Denominator =
    2.1 * 10^(-4) =

Using the exponent, the number of the times the Numerator would be larger than the denominator is :

7 -(-13)

7 + 13 = 20

Hence, it will be about 10²⁰ times larger

Hence, it will be about 10⁵ = 100000 times larger

2.)

  • Numerator =
    1.9 * 10^(-8)
  • Denominator =
    4.2 * 10^(-13)

Using the exponent, the number of the times the Numerator would be larger than the denominator is :

  • -8 -(-13) = 5

Hence, it will be about 10⁵ = 100000 times larger
