How do you do perimeter?

please try to be truthful, if I don't learn this then I could get kicked out of school ;(

L+W×2 or L+L+W+W

Explanation:

All you do to find the perimeter of any shape is adding up all of the sides.

for example:

let's say I have a rectangle and the long side of the shape (the Length) is 8 inches, and the shorter side of the rectangle (the Width) is 4 inches. I would add 8+8 and 4+4, then I would have 16+8, which equals 24in, so the answer would be 24 inches.
