He found q quarters so q is variable here .

So it contains the slope

  • 0.25q

Starting value is fixed i.e 2.25$

The expression is

  • 2.25+$0.25q

B because Q is how much he found and a quarter is 0.25 so it’s q0.25 and you add that to 2.25 that’s how much he had in his pocket
