Answer: Solution: (12, 3)

Explanation:

2x - 4y = 12

3x + 4y = 48

Add both equations

5x = 60

Divide both sides by 5

x = 12

We can use the value of x to find y

3x + 4y = 48

3 (12) + 4y = 48

36 + 4y = 48

Subtract 36 from both sides

4y = 12

Divide both sides by 4

y = 3

Solution: (12, 3)
