Answer:

80 squared inches

Explanation:

you find the area of the rectangle first which is 105

then you take away half of each square from the rectangle for each side so just picture the squares as triangles

base=5in so now you find the area of each triangle which gives you

height=5in 5 * 5 / 2= 12.5 and since you have two,multiply 12.5 by 2

12.5 *2 = 25

now subtract 25 from 105 (105 - 25= 80)

and you get your area =80 sq. in.
