Remark

It is not at all obvious which function goes where. The way to write this so you can tell is

h(g(x))

That means that wherever you see an x in h(x), you put g(x) there.

Formula

h(x) = 2x + 14

h(g(x)) = -2 * g(x) + 14

Solution

h(g(x)) = -2 * [3(x - 2) + 1] + 14

h(g(x)) =-2 [ (3x - 6) + 1 ] + 14

h(g(x)) =-2 [ 3x - 6 + 1) ] + 14

h(g(x)) =-2 [ 3x - 5 ] + 14

h(g(x)) = -6x + 10 + 14

h(g(x) = -6x + 24

h(g(4)) =-6*4 + 24

h(g(4)) = 0
