Answer:

Amount gained = $900

Explanation:

Let the cost price be = x

Given selling price = 8400

And profit% = 12%

Profit = selling price - cost price

= 8400 - x

Profit \ \% = (profit)/(cost \ price) * 100\\\\12\% = (8400 - x)/(x) * 100\\\\\ 12 * (1)/(100) = (8400 - x)/(x)\\\\(12 \ x)/(100) = 8400 - x \\\\(12x)/(100) + x = 8400\\\\12x + 100x = 8400 * 100\\\\112x = 8400 * 100\\\\x = (8400 * 100)/(112) = 7500

Therefore , cost price of the radio $7500

The amount she gained = 8400 - 7500 = $ 900
