I have 2 questions I need help on!

1-A rectangle has a length of x - 8 and a width of x + 9. Find the area

2-A triangle has a base of 4x+2 and a height of x+4. Find the area

i don’t think there’s an exact area without a substitute for x, but the equations for the areas are
1) A=x^2+x-72 or A=(x-8)(x+9)
2) A=(4x^2+18x+8)/2 or A=[(x+4)(4x+2)]/2
