Answer:

The scale factor for the triangles (larger/smaller) = 6/2 = 3.

The area of the larger triangle equals the area of the smaller triangle times the square of the scale factor (32 = 9):

Area of Larger Triangle = Area of Smaller triangle * Scale Factor 2 = (3 cm2)*9 = 27 cm2.
