Do you think there were any benefits of shifting from a hunter-gatherer society to a society that practices farming?

Yes, because many people who were hunter gatherers were able to establish homes and villages by domesticating and learning farming. They no longer had to focus on hunting and gathering to survive and instead could focus on learning and creating new tools and systems including systems of writing. This let society become more knowledgeable and live longer lives.
