To answer this question, we need to input all of the values of each variable into the equation. For a we replace it with (-2), b we replace it with 5, c we replace it with 3, and d we replace it with 4.


10ab-cd turns into
10(-2)(5)-(3)(4)

Since a number next to another number in parentheses is the same as multiplication, multiply out the numbers next to each other. Let's start with the first half of the equation with
10(-2)(5)

-2 times 5 = -10. -10 times 10 = -100 (remember that a negative times a positive equals a negative).
