Answer:

y = -4/15x + 32/15

Explanation:

the given points are,

x1, y1 = 3, 4/3

x2, y2 = 1/2, 12/6 = 1/2, 2

equation of the line is:

y = mx + c

where slope, m = y2 - y1 / x2 - x1

= 2 - 4/3 divided by 1/2 - 3

= 6 - 4 / 3 divided by 1 - 6 / 2

= 2/3 divided by -5/2

= 2/3 * -2/5 = -4/15

let's take x1, y1 co-ordinates to find constant, c:

4/3 = -4/15(3) + c

c = 4/3 + 4/5 = 20 + 12 / 15 = 32/15

thus, the equation of the line is,

y = -4/15x + 32/15
