On the first play, the Eagles gain 31 yards on a pass toward the goal line. On the next four plays, the Eagles lose 3, 5, 7, and 4 yards, respectively. Answer: A: -36 Yards

Explanation:

If the ball is away from the goal line then the first number would be negitive... -48. And if 31 yards are gained than it would be positive. And now you would take away the remaining numbers 3, 5, 7, and 4. The equation is -48+31-3-5-7-4= -36
