g increases by 12.5%

Explanation:

When a decrease in value by 10%, we have;

a- (10/100 * a) = a- 0.1a = 0.9a

b decreasing by 20%; we have

b - (20/100 * b) = b-0.2b = 0.8b

so we have the new value of g as;

0.9a/0.8b = 1.125b

‘Now, the difference this has with b is;

1.125b-b = 0.125

In percentage, we have this as 0.125 * 100 = 12.5%
