⚠️IF THIS IS NOT ANSWERED WE WILL ALL DIE⚠️ Project: Exploratory Routes In this unit, you've read about the European exploratory voyages to the East and the colonization of the New World. To this day South America and Mexico still have influences from the explorers that landed on their shores in the late 1400s and early 1500s. America is heavily influenced by the people who were seeking religious freedom and settled on the east coast of the U.S. How do you think life would be different if Spain had settled America first? Or, what if France and Britain had colonized Mexico and South America instead of Spain? Objectives Identify the exploratory routes that were taken during Europe's Age of Exploration. Identify the locations of European colonies. Create a map. Materials List Internet, textbook, or other sources of information Let's Review! From this project, you will have learned that: European influence spread across a larger territory from the fifteenth to the eighteenth century. Directions Use the Internet to find a blank world map. Label the map with the different exploratory routes and the locations that were colonized by Europeans from the fifteenth to the eighteenth century. Be sure to label all the countries on your map from this time period. You will need to identify and label the routes for the Portuguese, Dutch, Spanish, English, and French. Your map should include a title, key, and compass rose which provides a guide on how to read your map.
