How can you tell if a table is proportional or non proportional?

I can tell by how bad it looks or by if it had a cracked spot on it that’s how I can tell if it’s non proportional

You can tell if a table is proportional if the x and y-values change at a constant rate.

For example:

x y

0 2

1 4

2 6

3 8

This table is proportional, because the x values change at one at a time, and the y values change at 2 at a time.
