1. Get the equations to the simplest form.

5+P-3 = 3(6)+5P

5+P-3 = 18+5P

2+P = 18+5P

Isolate the variable on one side

-P on both sides

2+P = 18+5P
-P -P

2 = 18 + 4P

-18 on both sides

-16 = 4P

Divide by 4 on both sides

-16/4 = -4

So,

-4 = P

Answer:

-4

Explanation

Simplify the expression then Subtract 2 from both sides and Subtract 5P from both sides then Divide both sides by the same factor and you get the answer -4.
