Explanation:

the sum of complementary angles is 90°

sum the 2 angles, equate to 90 and solve for x

x - 30 + 2x + 15 = 90

3x - 15 = 90 ( add 15 to both sides )

3x = 105 ( divide both sides by 3 )

x = 35

Then

x - 30 = 35 - 30 = 5

2x + 15 = 2(35) + 15 = 70 + 15 = 85

the 2 angles are 5° and 85°
