ok so

first add 13 to the -13 to cancel it out. Whatever you do on one side you have to do to the other so add 13 to -1 ( which gives you 12 )

so rn we have 3q=12 now you have to divide each side by 3

it cancels out the 3 and 12 divided by 3 is 4 so your left with q= 4
