To find the selling price of the laptop in Nepali rupees, we need to calculate the total cost incurred by Shakushal and then add the desired profit.

Step 1: Calculate the total cost incurred in the USA

Transportation Charge = 15% of $800

Custom Duty = 150% of $800

Total Cost in USA = $800 + (15% of $800) + (150% of $800)

Step 2: Calculate the selling price in Nepali rupees with a 20% profit

Selling Price in Nepali Rupees = Total Cost in USA + 20% of Total Cost in USA

Finally, we can convert the selling price from USD to Nepali rupees using the given exchange rate of 1 USD = Rs. 110.

Let's perform the calculations:

Step 1:

Transportation Charge = 15% of $800 = 0.15 * $800 = $120

Custom Duty = 150% of $800 = 1.5 * $800 = $1200

Total Cost in USA = $800 + $120 + $1200 = $2120

Step 2:

Profit = 20% of Total Cost in USA = 0.20 * $2120 = $424

Selling Price in Nepali Rupees = $2120 + $424 = $2544

Finally, convert the selling price from USD to Nepali rupees using the exchange rate:

Selling Price in Nepali Rupees = $2544 * Rs. 110 = Rs. 279840

So, the selling price of the laptop in Nepali rupees is Rs. 279,840.

Answer:

Shakushal's selling price in Nepal is Rs 279840

Explanation:

Given:

  • Laptop price in USD = 800
  • Exchange rate = 1 USD =Rs 110
  • Transportation charge = 15%
  • Custom duty = 150%
  • Profit margin = 20%

To find:

  • Selling Price in Nepal (SP)

Solution:

we have,

Cost price of laptop (C.P)= $800

Transportation charge = 15% of C.P =
(15)/(100)*800 = $ 120

Custom duty = 150 % of CP =
(150)/(100)*800 =$1200

Now,

Since Shakushal includes real cost price, transportation charge and custom duty as a cost price.

Now,

\textsf{Total cost price = Real cost price + Transportation charge + custom duty}

Total cost price = 800 + 120+1200 = $ 2120

Now,

Let's find profit while selling in Nepal.

We have

Profit % of CP = S.P - C.P

Note: Here CP is total cost price

Substituting value

20% of 2120= SP - 2120

\sf (20)/(100)*2120 = SP - 2120

424 = SP - 2120

SP = 424+2120

SP = $ 2544

Let's convert dollar to Nepali rupees

Since we have

1 USD= Rs. 110

2544 USD = Rs 110*2544 = Rs 279840

Therefore,

Shakushal's selling price in Nepal is Rs 279840

\boxed{\red{\textsf{Jaya Nepal}}}
