to get the x-intercept of any expression, we can simply set y = 0 or f(x) = 0 and get "x".

f(x)=\log(4^x)\implies \stackrel{f(x)}{0}=\log(4^x)\implies 0=x\log(4) \\\\\\ \cfrac{0}{\log(4)}=x\implies 0=x\hspace{9em}\stackrel{ x-intercept }{(0~~,~~0)}
