opposite angles of a parallelogram are congruent so y=42, and if two angles that are on the same line together in a parallelogram then their angles will add up to 180°, for example z° and y° are on the same line so their angles will add up to 180 and since y=42, 180-42=138 so z=138°, because opposite angles are congruent in a parallelogram x°=138°
