Answer:

n+q=15

q=n+3

q=9

n=6

Explanation:

Let n be the number of nickels Marco has and let q be the number of quarters that Marco has.

So n+q=15

q=n+3

Subsisting for q gets us n+n+3=15

so 2n=12

n=6

q=6+3=9
