The measure and magnitude of a quantity (ignoring it's sign) is called it's absolute value. True or false? I'm not very good at math...

Yes, we commonly say the absolute value of a number is
- the number itself if the number is positive
- the corresponding positive number if the number was negative.

E.g.
abs(5) = 5
abs(-3) = 3
abs(0.5) = 0.5
abs(0)=0
