Let us isolate y so we get a inequation that will look pretty similar to an equation:
6x+2y>-10
2y>-10-6x
y>-5-3x
Now, the equation y= -3x-5 describes the line with growth -3 (for each step in the positive x-direction we go -3steps or 3 steps “down” in the y direction) hitting the y-axis at -5. That means the inequality holds for all points above this line. See the image attached
