the area (A) of a trapezoid is calculated as

(1)/(2) h (b₁ + b₂ )

where h is the perpendicular height between bases b₁ and b₂

here h = 10, b₁ = 30, b₂ = 22 , then

A =
(1)/(2) × 10 × (30 + 22) = 5 × 52 = 260 ft²
