Answer:

slope = -5

y-intercept = 6

Explanation:

Given equation:

y = -5x + 6

The equation is written in y = mx + b form, where the slope is m and the y-intercept is b; x and y are co-ordinates of a point on the line.

∴ Slope = -5 and y-int. = 6

Info related to the question

  • y = mx + b is called slope-intercept form
  • y - y₁ = m(x - x₁) is called point-slope form
  • ax + by = c is called standard form
  • to find the slope use y₂ - y₁ / x₂ - x₁

Hi hi

the slope-intercept form is this:

y = mx + b

Where M is the Slope and B is the Y-intercept

So! in this case,

-5 is the slope

6 is the y-intercept
