the area (A) of a trapezium is calculated as

(1)/(2) h (b₁ + b₂ )

where h is the height between the bases

here h = 3 , b₁ = 2.4 , b₂ = 5.2 , then

A =
(1)/(2) × 3 × (2.4 + 5.2) = 1.5 × 7.6 = 11.4 ft²
