Prokaryotic -

  • Do not have a nucleus
  • Have DNA arranged in a circular chromosome
  • Do not have membrane bound organelles
  • Smaller in size
  • Older

Eukaryotic-

  • Have a nucleus, vacuoles, mitochondria
  • Have DNA arranged in a linear chromosome
  • Have membrane bound organelles
  • Larger in size

Both-

  • Contain: cell membrane, cytoplasm, ribosomes, DNA
  • Function is to make proteins
  • have certain parts that help them accomplish their function
