h = Perpendicular height of trapezium

∴Area of shaded region = Area of trapezium

=
(1)/(2) × (Sum of parallel sides) × h

=
(1)/(2) × (13 m) × (16 m)

Area of shaded region = 104
m^(2)

= 104 square meters
