Answer is the product = 24

Given
x + y^2 = 16

x = 12
y = 2

Substitute x and y values

( 12 ) + (2)^2 = 16

16 = 16

So your positive numbers are 12 and 2

The product of these two numbers

12 x 2 = 24

I hope I understood the question
