Find equation of the parabola to be - 1/4 ( x-3)^2 -1

expanded this = y= - 1/4 x^2 + 6/4 x- 13/4

derivative of this is - 1/2 x + 6/4

set this equal to the desired slope (1/2)

- 1/2 x + 6/4 = 1/2

- 1/2 x = -1

x = 2
