x= 2/5

y= 3.2

Explanation:

y-3x=2

y=3x+2

replace y with 3x+2 in second equation;

x-2(3x+2)= -6

x- (6x+4)= -6

x-6x-4= -6

-5x-4+4=-6+4

-5x= -2

x= 2/5

y=3x+2

y=(3×2/5) +2

y= 3.2

y=2+3x

putting value on second equation we get..

x-2(2+3x)=-6

x-4+6x=-6

7x=-2

×=-2/7

& y=2+3(2/7)

y=2+0.87

y=2.87..Ans..
