The values of x and BC are 9 and 25 units respectively.

The given triangle is an isosceles triangle with two equal sides. From the given triangle AB = BC

Since AB = 4x + 4 and AC = 6x - 14

Equating both sides

4x + 4 = 6x - 14

4x - 6x = -14 - 4

-2x = -18

x = 9

For length BC

BC = 2x + 7

BC = 2(9) + 7

BC = 25 units

Hence the values of x and BC are 9 and 25 units.

Question:

Find the value of x. Then find the length of the sides of given triangle.
