Does 9/20 and 18/30 form a proportion

Explanation:

I'm going to divide 18 by 9 and 30 by 20. If the quotients are the same, then we do have a proportion.

18 ÷ 9 = 2

30 ÷ 20 = 1.5

The quotients aren't the same. Same thing if you convert the fractions to decimals:

9 ÷ 20 = 0.45

18 ÷ 30 = 0.6

This means the two values do NOT form a proportion.
