the graphic shows the markings that AB and AC are equally long.

that makes this an isoceles triangle (both legs are equally long).

that has the following consequences (among others) :

angle B = angle C = 47°

BD = DC = (BC)/2

y = (angle A)/2

AD is the height of the triangle, standing at a right angle on BC.

so, x = 90°.

for any triangle the sum of all 3 angles is always 180°.

so,

180 = 47 + x + y = 47 + 90 + y

43 = y

y = 43°

we clearly see that the line bisects the bottom side perpendicularly so <ADC is 90 total angle by angle sum property is 180 so 180 - 90+47 =43hence y is 43 and x is 90
