I NEED HELP ASAPPPP!!!!!!!

In each basket of fruit, there are 3 more apples than pears.
Which equation represents the relationship between the number of apples a and the number of pears p?

A. p = a + 3

Explanation:

Since there are 3 more apples than pears, the number of apples per basket would be p + 3.

More obviously means addition, not multiplication, there aren't 3 more pears that apples (that's what option A means). (This is a second explanation using process of elimination)
