(x-19)^2=12\\

Square root both sides


x-19=√(12)

Add 19 to both sides


x=√(12) +19

Square both sides


x^2=(√(12) +19)(√(12) +19)\\x^2=(12+19√(12) +19√(12)+361)


x^2=(38√(12) +373)

The square root property says that there are 2 solutions and it will be the negative and positive of the square root of what x^2 equals which is 373 in this case


x=\sqrt{38√(12)+373 } ,-\sqrt{38√(12)+373 }
