Explanation:

Find the GCF of -24x and 16y

The GCF is 8 so put -24x and 16y in parenthesis

(-24x+16y)

Now put the 8 outside the parenthesis and divide 8 on both -24x and 16y and put the quotient inside the parenthesis to replace the -24x and 16y:

-24x/8 = -3x

16y/8=2y

8(-3x+2y)
