Raj recalled asking his friend why he had brought such a useless item along, but now he realized the balloon could actually save them. He asked Rohit for the balloon and immediately started blowing. Soon, he had a big balloon, its rubber as thin as paper, ready to pop. Raj hit it hard with his hand – “bang” – and the loud noise scared the angry animal. The elephant turned away, and Raj and Rohit left out a breath of relief. Not long afterwards, some people from the camp found and saved them, taking them back rapidly.
