The graph of the solution to the inequality on a number line is attached.

What is the solution to the inequality?

4/5 - 1/2p ≥ 9/5

Subtract 4/5 from both sides

-1/2p ≥ 9/5 - 4/5

-1/2p ≥ (9-4)/5

-1/2p ≥ 5/5

-1/2p ≥ 1

Divide both sides by -1/2

p ≤ 1 ÷ -1/2

multiply by the reciprocal of -1/2

p ≤ 1 × -2/1

p ≤ -2

Therefore, p is less than or equal to negative 2

The inequality 4/5 - 1/2 p greater than or equal to 9/5 is given. Solve the inequality-example-1
