Answer:

The American Revolution was a historical process that took place in America between 1775 and 1783, in which the Patriotic colonists faced the British Crown with the objective of obtaining the independence of the nation.

This revolution had its origin in the conflict between Great Britain and its colonies after the French and Indian War, when the British wanted to impose higher taxes on the colonies to cover the costs of the war, since, according to their perspective, this it had been fought to protect them. However, it was the colonists themselves who had fought on behalf of Great Britain, thus considering these taxes as unfair. Thus, there were different moments of tension such as the sanction of the Intolerable Acts or the Boston Tea Party, until the beginning of the revolution in 1775.

Thus, on April 19 of that year the war began with the battles of Lexington and Concord, and important battles continued until on July 4, 1776, after unsuccessful attempts to reach an agreement, the colonies declared their independence with the objective of guaranteeing the natural rights of American citizens.
