Answer:

y = - 2x - 1

Explanation:

the equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

calculate slope m , using the slope formula

m =
(y_(2)-y_(1) )/(x_(2)-x_(1) )

let (x₁, y₁ ) = (- 2, 3) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (1, - 3) ← 2 points on the line

substitute these values into the formula for m

m =
(-3-3)/(1-(-2)) =
(-6)/(1+2) =
(-6)/(3) = - 2

the line crosses the y- axis at (0, - 1 ) , then c = - 1

y = - 2x - 1 ← equation of line
