Omar's errour was when he thought that consecutive exteriour angles were congruent, when they REALLY form a linear pair, therefore you sum them up to 180°:


\displaystyle 180° = 59° + [10x - 1]° → 180° = [58 + 10x]° → 122 = 10x; 12(1)/(5) = x

Answer:

He is incorrect.

10x-1 = 180-59

10x-1 = 121

10x = 122

x= 12.2
