What does the equation look like after you combine like terms?

−3x + 2 − 4x = 16

7x+2=16

x+2=16

−x+2=16

-3x + 2 - 4x = 16
-7x + 2 = 16 because the only like terms on the left side of the equation are -3x and -4x which when combined make -7x.
