In this situation Stella is paying $60 to drive the car along with paying $0.50 per each mile she drives so if Stella drive 40 miles then thats 0.50 times 40 plus 60 and 40 times 0.50 is 20 and 20 + 60 is 80. Therefore, $80 is the answer I hope this helps.
