I've add fruit flies raising a garden every year I am very familiar with them and how to kill them. But twice now I have killed one by smashing it and upon doing so two little tiny bugs or crawling on me after I smashed the fruit fly and wiped it off of my hand. I am curious of what these little tiny bugs are that are living on the fruit fly. Can you help me identify them.

Final answer:

The tiny bugs you observed on your hand after smashing a fruit fly are likely mites. Mites are small arthropods that are often found living on or near other insects. They are generally harmless to humans but can cause skin irritation in some cases.

Step-by-step explanation:

The tiny bugs you observed on your hand after smashing a fruit fly are likely mites. Mites are small arthropods that are often found living on or near other insects. They are commonly found on flies, bees, and other insects, and can hitch a ride on these insects to move from place to place. While mites are generally harmless to humans, it is possible for some species to bite or cause skin irritation.
