You just simply need to divide the mass by the molar mass to get your moles! :)

1) determine molar mass

= 24.31 + 32.07 + 4(16.00)

= 120.38 g/mol

2) solve

mm=(m)/(n)\\\\ n=(m)/(mm)\\\\n=(35.2g\ MgSO_(4))/(120.38\ g/mol\ MgSO_(4))\\\\n=0.2924073766

n = 0.292 moles MgSO₄

Step-by-step explanation:

Number of moles

= mass ÷ molar mass

= 35.2 g ÷ (24.3 + 32.1 + 16 + 16 + 16 + 16)

= 35.2 g ÷ 120.4

= 0.2924 mole

(For molar mass, use the values given to you)
